What is Meso/Botox and how does it work?

Meso/Botox is a combination treatment that uses the benefits of Jalupro Mesotherapy in combination with Botulinum Toxin (Jalu/Botox).

Jalupro is a dermal bio revitalizer. It’s an injectable solution composed of  Amino Acids (Glycine, L-Proline, L-Leucine, L-Lysine) and hyaluronic acid.

The solution is injected in the dermis with microinjections, in a grid distribution.

The Amino Acids feed the fibroblast in the skin and stimulate them to produce Collagen, the substance needed to repair and rejuvenate the skin.

With ageing, fibroblast activity is reduced, leading to a lesser production of collagen. This results in the skin loosing tone, volume, elasticity and brightness. This is when lines and wrinkles start to appear. Also the skin appears loose, dry and crepey. Jalupro works on reversing theses ageing effects.

The adjunction of Botox potentiate the effects of Jalupro by adding the extra smoothing effect, provided by Botox, on lines and wrinkles.

Botulinum Toxin is produced by a Bacterium called Clostridium Botulinum.

It’s medically used to treat a variety of conditions, including bruxism, migraine and excessive sweating.

In aesthetics it’s used to smoothen lines and wrinkles.

Botulinum toxin works by blocking the communication between the nerves and the muscles. This results in muscle relaxation, which provides a smoother appearance of existing fine lines and wrinkles and also prevents the formation of new lines and wrinkles, by decreasing muscle movements.

What conditions can be treated with Meso/Botox?

Jalu/Botox can be injected into face (forehead, frown lines, crow’s feet, perioral area, smokers lines, poppy chin), neck and décolletage.

It is a safe, effective and minimally invasive treatment.

It can be used to treat a variety of skin conditions:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Loose, saggy, dry, crepey skin
  • Sun damaged skin
  • Generalized loss of facial volume
  • Neck and décolletage rejuvenation
  • Hands rejuvenation

It can be used alone or in combination with other aesthetic treatments, such as fillers, Microneedling and Platelets Rich Plasma (PRP).

What can I expect from the treatment?

Jalupro works very well in reversing the skin ageing process by stimulating the Fibroblasts to produce more collagen.

As a bio revitalizer Jalupro provides intense hydration to the skin while also providing a tightening and lifting effect, by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles and improving skin quality.

By adding Botox to the cocktail, the smoothing and tightening effect is greatly potentiated.

This results in a younger, smoother, plumper and brighter looking skin.

Who will perform the treatment?

The treatment is performed by Dr Golfomitsos, it’s delivered using very small needles, through multiple microinjections.

Prior to the treatment, a Lidocaine cream is applied onto the skin, to render the treatment as comfortable and painless as possible.

The treatment is very well tolerated, with most people reporting only mild discomfort.

How long does the treatment take

The treatment takes about 40 minutes.

Prior to the treatment you will have to schedule a consultation with the Doctor to be assessed for suitability, to discuss goals and to choose the best treatment option for you.

During this consultation you’ll be made aware of treatment’s benefits and side effects and you will have to sign a consent form.

How long do the results last for?
